Calibre manufactures a wide range of semi-custom rugged cased LCD monitors for military, aerospace and transport use. Housed in tough alloy cases, these displays are ideal for arduous environments. Special lightweight models using extremely rigid high-strength sheet-alloy assemblies can be made for aerospace use  in applications such as in-flight entertainment, mission control and avionics.

Calibre has the ability to build these units with mechanical and electrical specifications to suit most needs. All include Calibre's premium PremierView drivers and have configuration options for PAL/NTSC/SECAM composite or Y/C video, component RGB/YUV video, monochrome video from thermal cameras and SDI serial digital video, and computer VGA/analogue signals. DVI digital is also available.

Scratch resistant anti-glare front screens are fitted as standard.  An additional multi-layer optical-grade anti-reflect coating is also available for contrast enhancement in bright conditions.  ITO or laminated gauze EMC shielded windows and laminated front window heaters can also be fitted. All models feature premium quality high contrast bright TFT panels and most models are optionally available fitted with sunlight viewable wide dimming range backlights. Sizes range from 6.3" through to 30"

A twin 19" rack-mount 8.4" display featuring two 8.4" screens side by side in a single housing is also available.

Compliance testing to military, aerospace, rail or commercial standards can also be undertaken to suit custom requirements. Full-custom rugged cased aerospace, marine and military LCD displays are undertaken on a customer-specific basis.
